Description:
Struve 2398 (Gliese 725) is a binary star system at 11,52 light-years distance from the Sun in the Draco constellation. It is one of the binary systems closest to the Sun. Its components are two red dwarfs with each having around a third the Sun's mass and radius, having both active surfaces strong in X-ray emission. The Binary owes its name to astronomer Friedrich Georg Wilhelm von Struve who first measured the distance of its star components back in 1832.
